Wonderful colours: Indian Summer
Indian summer is a term that almost everyone knows, but what exactly does it mean? It comes from North America and describes the time in autumn when the trees turn their vibrant colours. During this time, forests, parks and cities are transformed into a sea of colour that could hardly be more beautiful - including our beautiful capital city. With its many beautiful parks, avenues and forests, Vienna is the perfect place to relax and enjoy an autumn walk.
Prater Park
A visit to the Prater or Prater Park is a must when visiting Vienna. Not only is it home to the iconic Giant Ferris Wheel and idyllic beer gardens, but it is also a sprawling park where you can spend many relaxing hours. Admire the colourful chestnut trees, take in the crisp autumn air or simply go for a jog around the park - autumn in the Prater is truly beautiful.
